  • Meeting Point
    The meeting point is at Naples Central Train Station, outside the Starhotel Terminus main entrance, at the corner of Piazza Garibaldi and Corso Arnaldo Lucci. With your back to the main entrance of Naples Central Train Station, cross the street to Piazza Garibaldi and you will see the Starhotels Terminus on the far left. Your coordinator, wearing a blue City Wonders polo shirt or jacket, will wait for you outside the entrance of this hotel.

Additional Notes

  • The crater of Mount Vesuvius may be closed due to inclement weather or strikes. In this case, the activity will be replaced with a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Pompeii or an activity that is of equal value.
  • Guests may opt not to hike up to the crater of Mount Vesuvius. The hike requires a good level of general fitness. It is uphill at a 14 degree angle and takes 20 minutes long (about 1 mile).
  • This activity operates regardless of weather.
  • Please be advised that the tour is unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages.

  • Please be advised that the hike is prevalently on soft ground. Adequate footwear is recommended.
